For anyone who hasn’t gotten familiar with the sounds of Lucky Daye, you are missing out. The incredibly gifted artist served up his debut album, Painted earlier this year, and we still can’t get enough of it. The album was an incredible introduction with an array of stand out material for our listening pleasures. Today Mr. Daye is back with a brand new single, serving up another soulful, smooth cut. This one is called “Buying Time.”
The track arrives ahead of Lucky’s headlining tour, and as expected, he doesn’t disappoint. “Buying Time” is a stripped-down track that finds the artist showing off his effortless appeal over top of a laid back acoustic guitar. The mid-tempo backdrop supplies a perfect home for the crooner to do his thing, and he certainly doesn’t let us down in the process. The single is probably the best thing we’ve heard this week. It showcases the growth of Lucky Daye, while also serving as an example of his soulful and slick sounds. This man always delivers something special, and “Buying Time” is just the latest. No word on where this one might end up, but we are certainly looking forward to some new material from the singer/songwriter.
