Here at The Culture Curators, we are captivated by outstanding design, especially modern architecture. Today we get a look at a beautiful home located on the coast of Chile dubbed the 5 Beams House. The design is situated on a hillside, bridging the gap between the land and sea. The dwelling is crafted from concrete, placed in the contours of the terrain. Its name comes from the five beams held up by walls to the east and west.
These supports create a connection from the hill to the sea, providing privacy from neighboring homes as well. Inside, the private spaces are semi-submerged into the site. The house is capped with a wall of sea-facing glazing. The public areas are seen on the upper level, which is wrapped entirely in glazing for unrivaled views of the surrounding landscape. Sliding doors expand the rooms to the terrace, which overlooks the incoming waves.
