Luxury Under The Surface | Carapace Superyacht Submarine

For inquisitive minds, luxury yachts will sometimes feature a submarine in their tender garage. This is for exploring surrounding areas and whatever else you could possibly use a submarine for. Today we get a look at a stunning superyacht that doubles as a submarine. This eye-catching concept might not be hitting the open water any time soon, but we can dream right?

The Carapace Superyacht Submarine is a concept, for now, the brainchild of Italian naval architect Elena Nappi. Diesel-electric and fuel cell systems would power the Carapace measures in at 256-feet. These powerful systems would work together to offer diving of 985 feet under the surface for up to 10 days at a time. The vessel is host to three deck levels, which include VIP cabins, a lounge, a spa, a bar, and a fitness area. These spaces are all enclosed to ensure access when you are hundreds of feet below the surface. While the design is a concept, for now, it poses an interesting question.

Would you take a trip on it? Check out the Carapace Superyacht Submarine in the images below and find out more about the vessel on CNN. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more futuristic rides and concepts coming soon.
