Luxury Underground! Antiparos Subterranean Villa

As you probably know by now, we are avid fans of the unique, the eye-catching, and the intriguing. Today we get a look at a beautiful modern home located on a small island in Greece. Dubbed the Antiparos Subterranean Villa, the structure is part of the coastal landscape, built into the hillside for a unique appeal. The vacation home features a series of volumes that are buried into the sloping terrain.

The exterior features a combination of plaster and stone that seamlessly blends the facade into the rocky topography. In the process, the home pays homage to traditional Cycladic architecture. The interior of the house progresses down the hillside. Sleeping areas are at the top, while the living areas are located below. Atriums and skylights fill the interior with natural light, while east-facing windows frame in views of the Aegean Sea.

The dwelling also features an array of sliding glass doors that connect the interior with outdoor terraces and two swimming pools. The pools and patios provide unrivaled views of the island of Paros and the Cyclades in the distance.

Take a closer look at this eye-catching modern dwelling in the images and head over to Tsolakis Architects to find out more right now. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more outstanding design and modern architecture coming very soon.
