Made For Speed | The Aston Martin V12 Speedster

The good folks over at Aston Martin are back, following in the footsteps of the Valkyrie. The iconic automaker is back with a look at the Aston Martin V12 Speedster. This eye-catching modern machine is inspired by the open-cockpit prototype race cars of the ’50s and ’60s. The ride pulls directly from the 1953 DB3S and 1959 Le Mans-winning DBR1, while power comes from an AMG-sourced twin-turbo V12.

This provides 700 horsepower and 555 ft-lb of torque, pushing the ride from 0-62 mph in just 3.5 seconds, with a limited top speed of 186 mph. Aston Martin engineers created an exclusive stainless steel exhaust system that exits through the rear diffuser. This provides a formula-one type sound, while the interior is split by bodywork running through the cockpit. We also see jet fighter-inspired touches like red pull straps and exposed structural carbon fiber. Only 88 of these stunning machines will be made, and deliveries are set to begin in early 2021.

Take a closer look at the V12 Speedster in the images below and find out more from Aston Martin right now. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more new rides and future forms coming very soon.
