The beautiful and incredibly talented, Mahalia is back. The UK-based songstress dropped off her new album, ‘Love And Compromise’ this past Friday. The project is littered with some contagious new material, however one track standouts among the rest. “What You Did” finds Mahalia linking up with fellow UK songstress, Ella Mai, as both showcase their respective talents quite well. The track is a follow up to Mahalia’s previous single, “Simmer” with Burna Boy.
This time around the songstress shows off her vocal talents on something special. Both artists bring their A-game and get quite a home to excel upon. The track samples Cam’ron and Juelz Santana‘s 2002 hit “Oh Boy,” which takes on a more soulful sound this time around. The two artists take to the instrumental and put together something impressive, effortlessly doing their thing in the process. The track is just one of the many standouts from Mahalia’s new album, ‘Love and Compromise.’ The project is littered with impressive material, however “What You Did” is one that we can’t seem to get enough of.
