Last week, Mark Ronson invaded the interwebs with the first single from his upcoming project. He’s working on the soundtrack of the forthcoming Spies In Disguise animated film, and his first track found him linking up with Anderson .Paak. This time around, Mr. Ronson is back with the second single pairing up with the smooth sounds of Lucky Daye. The fellas have come together for a brand new offering entitled “Fly.”
The track finds the two bringing their a-game, with Mark providing an uptempo backdrop for Mr. Daye to do his thing upon. The track is a change of pace from what we’re used to from Lucky, but he does his thing rather well. The track boasts a nostalgic 80s vibe that is both undeniable and quite contagious. The track is just another solid effort from Mark and another fine showcase of Lucky’s talents behind the mic. This man never disappoints and he certainly doesn’t start on this one. “Fly” is just another reason to be excited about the rest of the project, which arrives soon.
Check out the impressive new single in the stream below and look for more from Mark Ronson coming soon. Spies In Disguise is set to arrive in theaters on December 25th. While you’re at it, be sure to check out the latest installment of our weekly playlist, ‘A Curation of Sound.’
