It’s been a minute since the world was blessed with a new album from Masego. Today the crooner is back, dropping off his first single of 2020, and it’s one we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on. This time around, the singer/songwriter returns with “King’s Rant.” The track arrives after a somewhat busy 2019, one that saw Masego on a number of tracks as the guest artist.
Now he’s back with something of his own, and he definitely doesn’t let us down. “King’s Rant” is pushed by this fresh, catchy backdrop. We hear these punchy bass drums and slick laid back percussion backed by some interesting synths and these incredibly contagious horns. The combination provides Masego with a nice home to do his thing, and he reciprocates nicely. This one is certainly worth your time and attention.
