It’s hard to believe that it has been two years since Masego dropped off his debut album, Lady Lady. The artist has been churning out a bunch of new material as of late, and he is set to drop off a brand new EP this Friday. Today Masego is back, prepping us for the release of his impending EP with a brand new single. This one is called “Mystery Lady” and finds the artist linking up with Houston’s own Don Toliver.
The two come together over top of an interesting, energetic instrumental, showcasing their respective talents seamlessly. The track is pushed by these silky smooth guitar melodies, which are paired with some fresh, mid-tempo drum work. The bouncy instrumental provides a perfect home for the duo to do their thing, and they do not disappoint.
The instrumental lends both artists a nice space to do their thing. Masego leads things off with his uncanny delivery while Mr. Toliver joins the mix with his undeniable lyrical prowess. Smooth, laid back, and catchy, this isn’t one we’d suggest sleeping on.
