The one and only, Mayer Hawthorne is back! This man has been on a tear lately, serving up a bevy of new tracks for our listening pleasures. Today the Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter is back with another smooth new track, serving up “The Great Divide.” The track arrives after his first solo single in three years, “The Game.” This man never disappoints and he certainly hasn’t let us down so far.
All this new music arrives after the release of Tuxedo III with Jake One, and Mr. Hawthorne again brings his a-game. The track finds Mayer showing off his uncanny vocal prowess over top of this incredibly smooth instrumental. Pushed by these laid back, snappy drum sections which are paired with some slick guitars and stabbing synths. This incredible combination provides a perfect backdrop for Mayer to do his thing. He lets his vocals soar and provides something quite contagious to rock with.

While there is no word on where all of this new material will live, we hope that it’s just the beginning of something much bigger from Mayer.
