Meek Mill – Otherside Of America

Philly native, Meek Mill is back. The wordsmith invades the interwebs today with a brand new single, unleashing something potent and powerful. Today Meek drops off “Otherside Of America.” The lyricist has always been a supporter of criminal justice reform. With the world protesting police brutality, Meek decided to pen something special. The track finds the MC speaking from the heart and passionately about police brutality. The end of the track finds Meek speaking with radio host Michael Smerconish.

He says, “I always dreamed to be on CNN to be able to express myself and speak for the voiceless young men of America.” Meek goes on to say, “The first step I would say: I grew up in America in a ruthless neighborhood where we are not protected by police, we grew up in ruthless environments, we grew up around murder, you see murder, you see seven people die a week, I think you would probably carry a gun yourself. Would you?” The track can be heard below, and it’s certainly one worth your time and attention.
