It’s never a bad day when we get some new music from Megan Thee Stallion. Today the wordsmith is back with something new for our listening enjoyment called “Girls In The Hood.” The new single comes after an interesting 2020 for Megan. After running into some issues with her label, she dropped her SUGA EP earlier this year. Then came the massive success of “Savage” and its Beyoncé-guested remix.
Megan’s been on a roll this year, and she rides the wave with this new single. “Girls In The Hood” takes inspiration from Eazy-E‘s “Boyz-n-the-Hood” classic. The wordsmith shows off her lyrical prowess and delivery effortlessly, getting quite the instrumental to excel upon. The track is pushed by these hard-hitting, heavy drum sections, which are seamlessly paired with some catchy melodic elements. Megan does her thing and does it well, as expected. Don’t sleep on this one.
