The beautiful and always impressive, Mélat is back. Today the songstress returns with another new single for our listening pleasures. After dropping off “Happy Hour,” the singer/songwriter serves up a smooth new follow up entitled “So Help Me God.” Never one to disappoint, Mélat again shows off her vocal prowess while creating something sleek and addictive.
She opened up about the track and its contrast to her previous release. She stated: “I’ve done a lot of writing during quarantine and realized… not every hour can be happy hour.” She continued, “I write about love in all of its forms. I write about love in every instance. Good or bad, platonic or romantic, the denial of love’s existence is the denial of our own existence.”
The track is another fine example of Mélat’s voice and her penmanship. She gives us yet another reason to be a fan and a new single we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on.
