Modern Living! The Fielding House

We all have a general idea of what our dream home would be, right? For many, it would be somewhere near the coast, close to the water with a tropical vibe. Today we look at a unique modern home located between the dunes of northern New Zealand. The Fielding House is the brainchild of Cheshire Architects, putting a modern spin on the classic pavilion design.

The home features a traditional mid-century aesthetic, which is entirely open thanks to glazing found all around. The clean, rectangular form and its expansive walls of windows provide unrivaled views of its rustic natural surroundings. The home features three timber-clad cylinders that contain fireplaces and give the design an eye-catching allure. The cylinders also feature bathrooms and a kitchen and anchor the interior. The volumes are defining, providing a unique breakup between each living space. The views are nothing short of amazing, and the attention to detail inside and out is nothing short of exceptional.
