Modern Luxury & Design | Hotel Tierra Chiloe

For the past couple of months, we’ve all been cooped up and playing it safe. Or at least we should be. Things are opening up again, for better or for worse, and we’re ready for a vacation from everything. Today we get a look at a retreat that is sure to be a welcome escape. The  Hotel Tierra Chiloe is built on a remote island in southern Chile. The hotel merges cultural heritage with modern methods, which is seen in the architecture throughout.

The structure was designed by Mobil Arquitectos. Situated on a hilltop overlooking the sea, as well as the Andes, this is a great place to get away from everything. The building rests on a foundation of stilts, offering minimal disruption to the terrain. The rooms are placed on the second floor, taking full advantage of the views. This also helps to keep guests connected to the landscape.

The common areas, such as the pool, are located below the complex and protected from the elements. However, even from these areas, the views are unrivaled and breath-taking. In terms of efficiency, the property merges traditional and innovative technologies. The exterior is host to local larch tiles, while a geometric design and natural cross-ventilation reduce the use of fossil fuels.

Take a closer look at this impressive and luxurious hotel in the images below. Find out more about the structure from Mobil Arquitectos and keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more modern architecture coming very soon.
