Modern Moto | Claymoto Quiet Riot Zero FX Motorcycle

The revolution will still be motorized but silent. The electric motorcycle isn’t going anywhere, and its gaining ground as a base for some amazing custom work. Clay modeler Nick Graves has been sculpting lines out of clay for automakers and motorcycle companies for years. Now he has shifted his attention more toward the two-wheeled world. His most recent project is the “Quiet Riot” Zero FX motorcycle. A beautiful use of clay sculpting in conjunction with a modern take on the motorcycle gives us a unique version of something so familiar.

The Zero SR/F motorcycle served as the base for the custom build. It then underwent 80 hours of clay sculpting by hand before scans were used to make an ABS version. Once the fit was confirmed, molds were made. While carbon fiber was used to achieve the final form of “Quiet Riot”. Skid plates and guards were seamlessly incorporated to protect critical and vulnerable areas.

Claymoto’s Zero FX Motorcycle

The inspiration for the one-off electric bike was the classic flat track racer. The electric motor is actually a good fit for flat track racing. The stock drive belt was replaced with a chain and sprocket, and the rear brake was moved to the left handlebar for more control while on track. The human element is impressive and impossible to miss with this build. One of the oldest artistic mediums in human history, paired with a modern machine based on intricate microprocessing computers, is a feat that is undeniably rad. While we advance further daily, there are things the computer just can’t replace.

The “Quiet Riot” Zero FX is a one-off flat track-inspired electric motorcycle that flat out rips, and looks so smooth doing it. Take a closer look at the motorcycle in the images below and find out more about the machine from Claymoto while you’re at it.
