Modern Moves | House in a Park By Think Architecture

Modern architecture comes in an array of shapes, sizes, forms, and functions. Today we get a look at a structure that takes inspiration from its natural site. The House in a Park follows the contour of the park-like plot. The design is built as a collection of small volumes, connected by a continuous roof. The exterior is clad in natural stone, an organic facade that helps to blend the buildings into the landscape further.

Each one is freely arranged around a central courtyard, sharing access to the outdoor space as well as views of the surrounding mountains. Views of Lake Zurich are seen as well, adding to the structure’s charm in the process. A muted palette creates a minimalist interior, a contrast to the rural scenery. Oil rubbed wood and metal windows flood the living spaces in natural light, also framing the dramatic vistas throughout. This stunning home is a brilliant example of contemporary design with a rustic aesthetic. The design is clean and unique, offering ample space and privacy.
