Shows such as The OA and Raising Dion immediately caught our attention. While On My Block and Easy took a little more time to get familiar with. The End of the F***ing World is nothing short of brilliant, and all five are certainly worth your time and attention.

Please take a closer examination of these five shows below and add them to your list immediately. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more entertainment news coming soon.

The OA

Some of you may be familiar with The OA by now. The show is about a woman named Prairie Johnson who reappears after having been missing for seven years. She was blind before she disappeared, though she returned with her sight. Prairie insists she’s an angel, though people have their own speculations. The show is perfect for sci-fi fans, offering great acting and binge-worth television.

On My Block

This show is realistic-yet-fun, offering a look at growing up in inner-city Los Angeles. The series follows a group of friends as they make their way through the early phases of life. The show is about to kick off its third season, though you have plenty of time to check out the first two if you haven’t already. Watch as Monse, Cesar, Ruby, and Jamal grow up and grow apart in this outstanding coming of age show.

Raising Dion

Who knew raising someone with otherworldly abilities would be so tough? Raising Dion is a unique take on Dennis Liu’s comic of the same name. The series follows mother and son Nicole and Dion, who are struggling to cope with the passing of Dion’s father. However, it is revealed that Dion has incredible abilities, which leaves Nicole to do everything she can to protect her son from himself and the rest of the world. This is a good one!

The End of the F***ing World

Probably our favorite on the list, this is an incredible story about a compelling teen road trip. The series stars Alex Lawther and Jessica Barden as star-crossed somethings, James and Alyssa. The story follows the duo through their interesting adventures while blending humor, heart, and a classic rock soundtrack. So far, the show has two seasons worth checking out, though we’re hoping a third is on the way at some point. Add this one to your queue asap, and thank us later!

Easy

This one is deep and worth your time and attention. Easy is an anthology series that takes an intimate look at modern Chicago. As of now, the show features three seasons, each one brilliantly topping the previous. The show takes a look at love, loss, and change, doing so with a lens of kindness that is undeniable. The show even features appearances from Marc Maron, Elizabeth Reaser, Jake Johnson, Aya Cash, Hannibal Buress, and more. Check out Easy if you haven’t and get hooked as we did!
