He’s back! Today KAWS is back in the news, this time revealing a new COMPANION vinyl figure. The artist has announced some new COMPANION vinyl figures entitled SEPARATED. The figure stands nearly eight inches tall, this time sitting down with its hands covering its face. The collectible comes in three colorways, including grey, black and brown.
The figures are launching as part of the Brooklyn Museum’s dedicated online store for the exhibition. The online store will also feature the WHAT PARTY figures, which include the Michelin Man-inspired character known as CHUM. There will also be original COMPANION versions, unique variants of the figure, and URGE plate sets of four.
The “WHAT PARTY” exhibition will be on display from February 26th through September 5th, 2021. This marks the artist’s first physical exhibition since the COVID-19 pandemic. The exhibition includes 100 original pieces such as KAWS’ early-career subvertisements, collaborative works, furniture, and much more.
Take a closer look at the latest COMPANION Vinyl Figures in the images and head to Brooklyn Museum’s online store to pick up your favorite pieces immediately. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art and collectibles coming soon.
