The one and only Nas is back! The legendary Queensbridge representative is back with a brand new single, serving up a solid new effort entitled “Fallen Flying Stars.” The track is the latest from HBO’s new series, Between The World And Me. The series is based on Ta-Nehisi Coates’ book of the same name, and Nas served up the first single from the show’s soundtrack. Nas again shows off his lyrical prowess and delivery, offering up a solid showcase of his talents behind the mic.
The track “Fallen Stars Flying” is all about Black excellence and inspiration for the youth, while the wordsmith puts together an impressive display of his talents. The track is pushed by this silky smooth backdrop that includes some classic sounding drums and these incredibly addictive melodies. Nas takes to the track like a fish to water and puts together a solid example of his timeless talents behind the mic.
The wordsmith raps: “When you a strong stand-tall soldier They lean on you, expectin’ you not to fall over Like you never feel pressure like you made of steel, So I absorb your pain, I like to see you chill But the shit start weighin’ on me Liftin’ you up without a day off, homie It’s gettin’ hard, plus the haters on me.”
