Nas & Hit-Boy – ‘Magic’

The legendary, the timeless, and the incomparable, Nas has returned. The Queensbridge emcee returned last Friday to finish off the year with a brand new album. Linking up again with Hit-Boy, Nas invaded the interwebs with his latest album, ‘Magic.’ The album is his second of the year, arriving just months after dropping off the sequel to his GRAMMY Award-winning King’s Disease. Once again, the NYC native and Inland Empire producers make ‘Magic’ for our listening pleasure.

The project marks their third full-length album, and it comes with nine tracks in total. Along the way, Nas shows off his lyrical prowess flawlessly, doing so with contributions from DJ Premier and A$AP Rocky. Mr. Jones gets a selection of incredible instrumentals to showcase his talents over the top, and he doesn’t disappoint along the way.

In August, Nas spoke about ‘Magic’ and worked with Hit-Boy back in an interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden. He stated: “He’s like my Quincy [Jones], you know what I mean?” he said. “So I feel like the next thing I do if I was to work with Hit-Boy on the next thing I do, I think that we might do something that is going to be magical. I think what we have is magic.” A few of our favorites include “Meet Joe Black,” “Ugly,” “Wu for the Children,” and “Dedicated.”

This is certainly one album you should not be sleeping on. Check out the new project in the stream below and check back in with The Culture Curators for all the best in new music coming soon.
