Nas – Jarreau of Rap (Skatt Attack)

The legendary, the lyrical and the timeless, Nas is back. With a new compilation on the horizon, Nasir returns to the game today with a brand new track. The single is called “Jarreau of Rap (Skatt Attack)” and comes from his impending project, The Lost Tapes II, which is set to make impact next week.

The project follows up the first installment of The Lost Tapes, again finding Nas serving up a batch of unreleased material for our listening enjoyment. “Jarreau of Rap (Skatt Attack)” is the first single from the project, arriving a few days ahead of the big release. The track finds Nas again flaunting his lyrical prowess and delivery, getting one hell of an instrumental to excel upon. “Jarreau of Rap (Skatt Attack)” is pushed by these smooth, jazzy horn section while paired with these slick bouncing rattling drum sections. Nas takes to the beat and effortlessly does his thing, joined by the late Al Jarreau and Keyon Harrold, who supplies an incredible trumpet solo to the mix.
