What?! Some new Nas? Yes, some new Nas! The Queensbridge legend returned to the interwebs this Friday, doing so with a new single and some big news. First, the new single! Nas dropped off a brand new track entitled “Ultra Black.” Now, the big news! He also revealed that a new album is coming this month! The wordsmith took to social media, where he shared a quick clip with a caption that read “8.21 #HitBoyOnTheBeats.”
He then revealed King’s Disease; a brand new album will be arriving before the end of the month. “Ultra Black” is the first single, and Nas doesn’t disappoint. The track finds the wordsmith again showing off the pen’s power, crafting something lyrically solid and thoughtful, as usual.
This snappy, rich backdrop pushes the track. The crisp drums and smooth, soulful melodies provide Nasir with an exceptional home to shine upon. He does so effortlessly, putting together another solid showcase of his talents behind the mic.
