New Power | The McLaren Elva Roadster

The good folks over at McLaren have a real need for speed. Less than two years after the official debut of the Senna, McLaren returns to announce the next entry in its Ultimate Series of hypercars. This time around, the automaker returns with a look at the McLaren Elva Roadster. This sleek new roadster joins the F1, P1, and Senna. The ride is said to be the lightest road car ever made by the brand, rocking a unique design and intriguing cues throughout.

The ride features a windshield-less roadster body style. Power comes from an 804 horsepower version of the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 found in the P1 and Senna. The design and name come from the open-cockpit customer race cars built in the ’60s by McLaren and British race car maker Elva. Only 399 units will be created, adding to its allure and charm in the process.

The vehicle features an open driver compartment that features a series of vents and active aero vanes. This creates a low-pressure zone for the driver and passenger, meaning a helmet isn’t necessary. However, a windshield will be available as an option. McLaren even claims that the Elva will be even faster than the Senna.

Take a closer look at the McLaren Elva Roadster in the images below and head over to McLaren to find out more. Delivers are set to start in late 2020. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more modern speed and new cars coming very soon.
