The good folks over at McLaren have a passion for blending performance and style, seamlessly merging the two in the process. Today the automaker is back in the news with a look at their most powerful convertible to date. Today we get our first formal introduction to the McLaren 765LT Spider.
The 765LT Longtail coupe features a few notable changes from previous iterations. One of the biggest being its retractable top, which can be raised or lowered in 11 seconds. The ride is also equipped with a power rear window which can be operated with the top up or down. Buyers should note that air conditioning is optional. Under the rear deck is the impressive twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 that churns out a whopping 755 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque.
This makes the 765LT Spider capable of a 0-60 mph time of just 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph. However, those interested in this stunning machine should act fast. McLaren is only building 765 units of the 765LT Spider.
