Nicolas Party Reveals “Triptych” Exhibition

Experiencing an exhibition by Nicolas Party is an experience of observing art history in a new form. The Swiss artist recently created an homage to the French painter Louis-Léopold Boilly at the Consortium Museum in Dijon. Now he returns with a unique new exhibition at the Museo Poldi Pezzoli in Milan.

The exhibition is titled “Triptych.” The site-specific exhibition challenges the traditional hierarchies, proposing universal art that seems to scoff at time. The exhibition takes its name from Mariotto Albertinelli’s 1500 tabernacle display. Party’s artwork brings vibrant, stylized designs that include his love of natural and still-life. “Triptych” opened recently and will be on display at Museo Poldi Pezzoli in Milan until June 27th.

For those interested in finding out more about Nicolas Party and his work, Phaidon recently published something worth your time and attention, including the first monograph on Party, available to purchase for $50 USD.

Check out the “Triptych” exhibition in the image and find out more about the display from Museo Poldi Pezzoli. While you’re at it, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art exhibitions and art news coming very soon.
