Now Playing | Five New Tracks To Add To Your Playlist Right Now

For fans of music, Friday’s are a big day. While many folks live for the weekend, as audiophile’s, no day is quite like Friday. Each week we compile a weekly playlist dubbed ‘A Curation of Sound.’ Here we put together a comprehensive playlist of our favorite new tracks from the week of releases. We also include some outstanding singles from the previous weeks and months, offering a wide range of incredible listening material.

Well, after spending some time listening and diving through those tracks, we pull out five new tracks that deserve a little more attention. This week Zac Flewids and Sylvan LaCue caught our attention with “Eyelids,” while Raphael Saadiq’s ‘Jimmy Lee’ project comes littered with soulful sounds; “My Walk” being our favorite. Hobo Johnson’s “Suburu Crosstrek XV” is something special and “Wet” by Bibi Bourelly is a real gem. Wrapping up our selections is “Swim Home” by Cautious Clay, who delivers a smooth dose of his contagious abilities.

“Eyelids” By Zac Flewids & Sylvan LaCue

This smooth track is one worth having on repeat. Zac and Sylvan share their respective talents over top of this laid back, mellowed out guitar-driven instrumental. Both deliver stunning examples of their abilities, offering up a soulful, introspective cut in the process. Press play on this one asap!

“My Walk” By Raphael Saadiq

Raphael Saadiq is back! We’ve waited too long for this moment, and he didn’t let us down. “My Walk” is one of many standouts from his new album ‘Jimmy Lee.’ The track has a modern, soulful sound. “My Walk” is driven by this buzzing synth section that comes paired with gritty, snappy, punchy drum work. The track makes quite the home for Mr. Saadiq to do his thing, delivering his vocal prowess while giving us a retrospective look at his life in the Bay area.

“Subaru Crosstrek XV” by Hobo Johnson

Our dude Hobo Johnson has done it again. Every single he’s released makes us even more excited about his forthcoming project. “Subaru Crosstrek XV” is just the latest and he offers up something many of us can relate to. Hobo raps: “I just bought a Subaru Crosstrek I woulda bought a Lambo, but I’m not quite there yet Sometimes I get drunk, and I forget what day it is I wish that I was skinnier, but I love sandwiches.” He later adds, “My clique orders club salads And look like they all sing ballads I coulda bought a Lambo happily But the insurance is high, and I kinda want a family.” Reasonable rap music! Am I right?

“Wet” By Bibi Bourelly

If you needed another reason to fall for Bibi Bourelly, “Wet” is that reason. This incredible new single is the most contagious single on the list. The track finds Bibi showing off her uncanny and undeniable talents behind the mic, getting quite an infectious home to excel. “Wet” is driven by these rattling, trap-inspired drum sections which come paired with these chiming synth sections. The songstress takes to the track and provides that drip flawlessly. Don’t sleep on this one.

“Swim Home” By Cautious Clay

This gem of a track can be found on the 13 Reasons Why Season 3 soundtrack. Clay delivers an impressive showcase of his talents while offering something thoughtful and sincere. “Swim Home” is driven by these laid back, incredibly smooth melodic elements while paired with some mellow, soothing drum work. The singer/songwriter takes to the track and provides his cool, refreshing vocals, effortlessly showing off his range and skills behind the mic. Cautious Clay is certainly one to get familiar with. “Swim Home” is a great place to start!
