Old School x New School | La Motocicletta BMW R80ST Motorcycle

Custom motorcycles have been a “thing” since motorcycles first hit the roads. Massimo Zancai is an engineer who has lent his services for concept motorcycles by the likes of Moto Guzzi and Aprilia. La Motocicletta is a passion project, one in which he gets to design and build bikes to his own taste. His latest creation is the La Motocicletta BMW R80ST Motorcycle. This striking machine breathes new life into a 1983 BMW R80ST, a street version of the BMW R80.

The machine initially helped spark the dual-sport motorcycle segment, since becoming an icon. This particular bike has been revamped, the motor was torn down and rebuilt using internals from a larger R100 engine. This provide an upgrade in power and torque, without changing the external appearance. New USD forks were added with dual radial calipers and waved discs at the front. There is a new monoshock at the rear providing a smooth ride. The tank finds the speedometer with hidden wiring and mounting brackets, resulting in a clean and sleek appearance in the process. This bike is brilliant, a flawless blend of the past and modern aesthetics. The bike comes in a stylish blue paint scheme, accented with contrasting black details down the side of the tank.

Take a look at this brilliant custom creation in the images below and learn more about the bike from La Motocicletta immediately. Keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more custom bikes and other rides coming soon.
