On Display! Nathaniel Mary Quinn’s Exhibition At Gagosian New York

The Gagosian and Nathaniel Mary Quinn have aligned yet again for a new solo exhibition. The artist’s “NOT FAR FROM HOME; STILL FAR AWAY” exhibition is slated to open on September 17th, serving as the artist’s first presentation in the gallery’s New York location. The showcase will feature a collection of paintings from the artist, including his unique collage portraiture style.

Mary Quinn creates eye-catching designs that feature visual fragments of his subjects, blurring the line of perception and memories. Anne Philbin, director of the HAMMER Museum, describes the artist’s work as “perfect metaphors for the cut-and-paste world of images we live in.”

Mary Quinn’s childhood inspires the complexity of his work. The memories of a traumatizing and joyful childhood are seen throughout his work and for good reason. Instead of letting the difficulties of his upbringing alter his outlook on life, he uses it as inspiration in his art. This new exhibition is one worth checking out. “NOT FAR FROM HOME; STILL FAR AWAY” will go on view at the Gagosian New York from September 17th to October 30th.

For more information, head over to the Gagosian New York website and plan your visit. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art news coming very soon.
