If you plan on traveling to Yunshan anytime soon you might want to stop by the east entrance of the Chongqing Simian Mountain Scenic area. When you arrive it will be hard to miss this incredible architectural design by Yuangou Architects & Consultants 1STUDIO.
This incredible building opened in 2019 and includes space for an art gallery, retail stores, a Wedding Chapel, and resort residential. The master plan for this building designates the complex to be the starting point of the tourist resort that lies just outside the scenic spot. The east and west flanked mountains make the roof slopes appear to fall away into the ground and seemingly connect the mountains like the are all holding hands.
The huge sloping roof structure provides the practicality of adapting to climate characteristics such as high-frequency precipitation, humidity, and strong sunshine in summer as well as provide incredible open spaces for tourists to feel connected to the environment.
If you were just itching to get outside and enjoy the sunshine visitors can reach the open terrace at the top of the second roof, overlooking the complex and the entire resort.
