Across the globe, major art institutions, fairs, and galleries have closed due to coronavirus features. Today the word comes down that the 14th edition of Art Dubai will be postponed to later this year. The event was slated to take place from March 25 to 28, though a replacement program will go entirely digital. Here fans and visitors can check out an online catalog of the works, live broadcast of talks, and an online performance program. The 2020 online catalog will host a platform of 500 artworks from the fair’s participating galleries.

This stretches from Contemporary, Modern, Bawwaba, to Residents sections and more. This year’s annual talks program themed “Do You Story?” will broadcast a Newshour Special about the coronavirus. They will also dive into the narratives that surround it. The fair’s performance program is focused on healing will feature five selected artists. Art Dubai has modeled its digital initiatives after other art fairs. Dubai galleries, such as Green Art Gallery and The Third Line, have aligned with Alserkal Avenue to create 3D tours of their upcoming exhibitions. Art Dubai is set to launch its program of digital content today.

Head over to Art Dubai’s website to find out more information on its online programming right now. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art and art news coming very soon.
