This remarkable structure went on the market back in 2018, though it’s back in the game at a lower price. The home was initially built for Frieda and Henry J. Neils in 1951. The Usonian dwelling was created by Frank Lloyd Wright, displaying his unique talents and aesthetics throughout. The home is only one of two properties the architect completed in Minneapolis and is packed full of unique details.
The home boasts marble walls in the interior, while aluminum-framed windows make an uncommon choice for the architect. The interior includes the designer’s signature with custom built-ins and furniture, as well as “Cherokee Red” floors and ample wood paneling. The home takes full advantage of the landscape thanks to floor-to-ceiling glazing overlooking Cedar Lake. The house is also listed on the national historic register, offering the chance to own a true mid-century-modern treasure.
