Own It! 1953 Hugh Hefner-Signed Playboy #1 Up For Auction

From baseball cards to comic books, it seems like all forms of print are increasing in value. A new listing just went live on Heritage Auctions recently, offering the first issue of Playboy from 1953 with white pages and signed by Hugh Hefner himself. The magazine issue has been rated a 9.4 by CGC and features Marilyn Monroe on the cover.

The issue also features a poster of her on the inside as the “Sweetheart of the Month.” CGC has only certified roughly 300 of these issues, with only five copies scoring the same or higher in rating. However, none of those previous issues had the white pages along with Hugh Hefner’s autograph. At the time of publishing, the auction had reached $39,000 USD and indeed increasing before the auction comes to an end.
