In case you didn’t know, here at The Culture Curators, we have a need for speed. Today we get a look at a stunning vehicle that will certainly cure that need. Today we get a look at a 2000 Ferrari 550 GT1 Race Car. This incredible machine could be yours, and it comes with quite a track record, literally. This Ferrari 550 GT1 has spent 11 years on the track, even collecting two FIA GT championships, a Le Mans class win, and an overall victory at the Spa 24 hours.
After running in an impressive career on the track, the car is set to hit the auction block. The vehicle was initially purchased by Italtecnica and is one of four 550s designed and developed for GT racing by the firm. After the 2001 season, the car entered the Italian GT championship, where Mercedes-Benz F1 driver Toto Wolff drove it. Now the car is being auctioned off, which means you have the chance to own a piece of racing history.
Take a closer look at this gem of a vehicle in the images and head over to RM Sotheby’s to find out more. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more rare rides, new cars, and more from the automotive world coming soon.
