Today we get a look at an iconic vehicle that is sure to cure your need for speed while providing a stunning addition to any car collection. Steve McQueen was a fan of automobiles, motorcycles, and more. His collection was iconic, and many of those vehicles have become classics. Today we get a look at one, in particular, Steve McQueen’s Cooper T-56 Formula Junior Race Car.
This impressive machine was designed and built for the FIA’s Formula Junior series. The vehicle was driven by the Tyrell team, who won three F1 World Championships with Sir Jackie Stewart behind the wheel. This particular machine had eight first-place finishes with Tyrell.
Mr. McQueen himself raced the car in California before given the choice of acting or driving. Since then, the T-56 has been restored to its original specs when raced by Tyrell and McQueen. The restoration has been done from the ground up, making the vehicle eligible for historic events worldwide.
