Own This! Steve McQueen’s 1968 Husqvarna Viking 360 Motorcycle

Back when Steve McQueen was looking for the best motorcycle for racing, he went straight to the best in the biz, Swedish rider Bengt Åberg. The two-time FIA motocross champion was racing in California, and McQueen paid him a visit, eventually purchasing his winning Viking 360 two-stroke from him. This was just the beginning of a long relationship between McQueen and Husqvarna.

Today we get a look at  Steve McQueen’s 1968 Husqvarna Viking 360 Motorcycle, which is currently up for auction. This stunning machine is being sold at RM Sotheby’s Pebble Beach auction in August. This is the very bike that McQueen purchased from Bengt Åberg, and it can be yours.

The stunning Viking 360 comes with California state papers documenting the transfer of the motorcycle to McQueen’s Solar Productions. The bike also underwent a 14-month restoration in 2014. The Viking 360 is in like-new condition with its proven ownership history.

The bike is expected to sell for six figures, so save your pennies. Check out the impressive motorcycle in the images below and head over to RM Sotheby’s to find out more. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more from the automotive side of things coming soon.
