The one and only, Popcaan is back. The artist is gearing up to drop a new project off later this year called Great Is He. The project will be a follow-up to his 2020 debut on Drake’s OVO Sound label, MIXTAPE. While we patiently await the album, the artist has returned with a brand new single for our listening pleasures. The track is called “Skeleton Cartier.”
Popcaan recently spoke about the track and his inspiration. He stated: “This song is about how I was feeling after I ordered myself a Skeleton Cartier watch for my birthday.” Popcaan went on to add, “This was possible because I put in the work. The aim is always to be richer — in more ways than one!” The standout single finds the wordsmith showing off behind the mic, getting an infectious and energetic home to do his thing. As usual, he doesn’t disappoint, giving us some of his uncanny delivery and style throughout. The single is also featured in the latest campaign for Drake’s Nike x NOCTA shoe release.
