The good folks over at Mercedes-AMG are back to celebrate their 55th anniversary. In doing so, the automaker has released a special-edition version of the G 63. The Mercedes-AMG G 63 “Edition 55″ blends power and performance with outstanding luxury and unrivaled attention to detail. The vehicle boasts a four-liter V8 Biturbo engine that cranks out 585 HP and 850 Nm of torque.
The classic square design details are still at play, as is the iconic body shape, though a few new additions make this particular model something special. The SUV is offered in either “Obsidian Black Metallic” or “G Manufaktur Opalite White Bright” paint jobs with a unique graphic set on the lower part of the doors. “55 AMG” branding details the steering wheel, while “Edition 55” is found on the floor mats.
The 22” AMG forged wheels arrive in a matte “Tantalum Grey” paint finish, as does the unique AMG-lettered silver chrome fuel cap. Finishing things up is the optional AMG Night Package and the AMG Night package II specs. The interior includes red and black Nappa leather seats with AMG trim elements in matte carbon.
