The good folks over at Hennessey Performance are back at it once again. This time around, they return with something new, putting their touches on the all-new mid-engine C8 Corvette. Today we get our first look at the Hennessey HPE1200 C8 Corvette Coupe. This stunning machine is nothing short of impressive, offering plenty of power with a race-ready approach. The ride features a new twin-turbo system, and a custom-built LT2 V8 will make a staggering 1,200 horsepower.
To handle that kind of power, the new V8 will feature forged aluminum engine internals, which is mated with an upgraded dual-clutch transmission. Elsewhere the ride features a top-line Penske adjustable suspension system with Brembo brakes and custom wheel and tire sizes. A wind tunnel-tested Hennessey CarbonAero body kit with front splitter and a massive rear wing makes a nice touch. These details add to the look while also providing increased downforce and stability.
In addition to the HPE1200, a slightly more moderate supercharger and stainless exhaust setup will make 700 horsepower. The kits are still under development. However, interested buyers can contact Hennessey about the upcoming packages for pricing and more information.
