Just the other day, Princess Nokia served up two impressive new singles. “Green Eggs & Ham” and “Practice” arrived ahead of her albums ‘Everything Sucks’ and ‘Everything Beautiful.’ Today Princess Nokia returns to drop off both of those projects for our listening enjoyment. The New York City native shows off her witty, humorous style of both projects, though offering contrasting vantage points. At times the projects are bubbly and fun, then she also channels confrontational as well.
The project was announced last year with the infectious track “Sugar Honey Iced Tea (S.H.I.T.).” On these new albums, she creates a more complete picture of her talents. ‘Everything Sucks’ was created in just one week with Chris Lare. ‘Everything Beautiful’ took a little more time to create with over two years worth of work. The project was recorded in New York, Puerto Rico, and Los Angeles. Some of our favorites include “Gross,” “I Like Him,” “Woes,” and “Just A Kid.” Those are from ‘Everything Sucks’ while ‘Everything Is Beautiful’ also includes a bevy of outstanding listening selections.
