Raheem DeVaughn & Apollo Brown – ‘Lovesick’

It’s been a minute since we last heard from Raheem DeVaughn. The singer/songwriter stays busy, and recently he joined forces with Apollo Brown. The two hard-working artists have aligned for an impressive new opus called ‘Lovesick.’ The LP arrived last Friday, and the fellas delivered something impressive. The collaborative album serves as “An homage to the greats,” said Raheem.

Opening up about the project to Rolling Stone, Mr. DeVaughn stated: “without artists like James Brown and Prince, there would be no Raheem DeVaughn.” He also described the project and spoke about working with Apollo Brown. Raheem said, “On this new collaboration with Apollo, I’m ready to make you dance while continuing to remind you what great soul and R&B feels like.”

The project comes loaded up with twelve new tracks and a handful of exceptional features. Joining the fellas along the way are the likes of 3D’NaTee, Skyzoo, and Westside Boogie. Some of our favorite singles from the track include the singles “I Still Love You,” “Zaddy,” “Just Fall In Love,” and “When A Man.” However, “Rick James,” “On Top,” and “Broken Pieces” are also worth a deeper dive. These two have created something stunning.

Take a few minutes from your busy day to check out this great new project in the stream below. While you’re at it, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more outstanding new music coming very soon.
