Following up a unique iteration of Reebok’s DMX Trail Shadow, Mountain Research is at it again. This time around, the two brands have come together for a special new version of the iconic Alien Stomper. The design keeps things simple in terms of color, while the details and technical features are the focus. The Alien Stomper comes draped ina. clean, all-white color scheme which its high-end take on a one-time movie prop sets itself apart from other Stomper’s.
The design is a unique blend of Japanese fashion, British footwear, and American entertainment. The upper is crafted from a supple white leather in both smooth and perforated iterations. The high-top design includes a ribbed tongue that is secured with a signature Velcro shroud-and-strap combo. Unique details are found around the strap. This includes black “Keep Strapped to Hold Firmly” text replacing the standard Reebok branding. We then find “Keep In a Safe Place” on the lateral side, “Fold and Turn Over After Going Through Eyelet,” on the medial side. The heels boast “Never Been To the Moon,” and MR’s signature “civil disobedience anarchists mountaineers saunterer + punks” along the way.
The Mountain Research x Reebok Alien Stomper is set to release on May 1 at Mountain Research. Look for a global release at select stockists come May 8.
