Revamped & Retooled! Icon Old School Toyota FJ44 SUV

The creative minds over at Icon are breathing new life into old rides. Today we get our first look at the latest entry into Icon’s Old School series of resto-mods. The company continues to give new life to vintage classics, and their latest is a 1974 Toyota FJ44. The Icon Old School Toyota FJ44 SUV is a stunning machine, starting out as a long-wheelbase four-door version of the original Land Cruiser.

Icon has revamped the ride, offering a bit more power with a classic aesthetic that will take you back in time. The vehicle is powered by a 6.2-liter LS V8, making 430 horsepower, which is mated to a heavy-duty five-speed manual and two-speed transfer case. Oh, but they didn’t stop there.

The FJ44 was also outfitted with Brembo Sport brakes, and beefy BF Goodrich all-terrain tires on custom 18-inch Icon forged aluminum rims. The interior features a nod to the past with some modern elements that make life a little easier. The ride has been equipped with heated bucket front seats and custom jump seats in the rear, which serve as an homage to the original. The vehicle can also be customized to your liking, with an endless array of options to choose from.

Take a closer look at Icon’s latest Old School revamping and learn more about the machine from Icon right now. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more classic cars, custom rides, and more.
