Richard Neutra’s Loring House

If you are as compelled by architecture as us, today offers a rare opportunity to own a piece of architectural history. The Loring House is up for sale. The boxcar-style home was designed by modernist icon Richard Neutra, located in the Hollywood Hills. The stunning dwelling was built back in 1958 and has classic mid-century modern elements. The Loring Home features a spider leg column facade, a flat roof with overhangs, and sliding glass doors that allow the indoor and outdoor spaces to integrate seamlessly.

The interior boasts a spacious living area with a fireplace and direct access to a private bamboo garden and pool. The three bedrooms include a primary suite added by Escher GuneWardena using the original plans. The home sits on a .65-acre plot, also including a guest house with bedrooms and a two-story studio completed by Steven Ehrlich.

Check out this stunning home, the Loring House in the images below and learn more from Steve Frankel. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more modern architecture and real estate coming very soon.
