It’s never a bad day when we get some new music from Russ. The wordsmith has been on a roll in 2020, unleashing a bevy of new material throughout the year. While there is no word on if Russ is working on a new project, he continues to serve up new material almost monthly. Today the wordsmith is back with a smooth new single entitled “Hard For Me.”
The track finds Russ again linking up with Scott Storch, who laces the lyricist with something impressive and infectious as usual. The track is pushed by these highly contagious and silky melodies, which are seamlessly paired with some slick, mid-tempo drum work. The combination provides Russ with an incredible home to do his thing, and he reciprocates rather nicely.
The track finds Russ diving deep into something we can all relate to, opening up about a one-sided relationship filled with heartbreaking moments. Russ weaves his wordplay over top of the instrumental and puts together something impressive, unique, and lyrical yet again. This man never disappoints, and he certainly doesn’t start today.
