After parting ways with Columbia Records, Russ is back on his independent grind. The wordsmith honored his deal with the release of his There’s Really A Wolf, Zoo, and Shake the Snow Globe albums. Now he’s back on the independent grind, a road he knows all too well. Today Russ returns with a brand new single, serving up an impressive and incredibly infectious new one called “Live From The Villa.” The single was produced by !llmind, who never disappoints.
The track finds Russ again showing off his range of talents behind the mic, getting one hell of a backdrop to excel upon. The lyricist shows off his wordplay and delivery, bringing the track to life with a new video as well. “Live From The Villa” is driven by these silky smooth melodic keys which are paired with some sparse, yet punchy drums. Snappy percussion adds a particular bounce that Russ rides like a seasoned vet. He brings the track to life with a fitting set of visuals.
The clip finds Russ living his best life, properly following social distancing while effortless doing his thing behind the mic. He shows off his lavish lifestyle and definitely doesn’t disappoint lyrically.
