He’s back at it once again. Russ returns to the interwebs with a brand new single for our listening enjoyment. This one is called “Take You Back” and finds the artist linking up with Kehlani. The two come together for a laid back, emotionally driven song that we can all relate to. The track arrives after a handful of loosies, following his latest drop “Throne Talks.”
The single finds both artists bringing their A-game, cooking up something silky smooth and quite deep. Driven by a laid back simple melody and these cool drum sections, Russ and Kehlani take turns showcasing their respective talents. A smooth guitar adds nicely to the mix, culminating in quite an impressive and exceptional new effort.
The track is the latest from Russ, who closed his major label deal with the release of Shake the Snow Globe earlier this year. Since then, he has dropped new singles, including “Live From The Villa” and “Give Up.”
