After ending 2020 on a high note, Russ is back to kick off 2021 in similar fashion. The wordsmith returns with his first single of the new year, unleashing an infectious new heater called “Ugly.” The track finds Russ pairing up with Lil Baby on the track, serving up his first offering since unleashing CHOMP. The new track finds both artists bringing their a-game, as usual, putting together something smooth and highly addictive.
The track was produced by Boi-1da, who laced the duo with an incredible home to showcase their talents. Both deliver stellar examples of their lyrical prowess, putting together an excellent new single in the process. The track “Ugly” is pushed by these snappy, hard-hitting drum sections, which are seamlessly paired with the track’s melodic side.
The combination provides Russ and Lil Baby with an incredible home to shine. Both do their thing and do it well, putting together quite an impressive display in the process. While there is no word on where this track may end up, we’re hopeful that Russ has something bigger on the horizon. This man never disappoints, and he certainly doesn’t start today.
