Rustic Luxury | The Seachange House

In our minds, we have our own idea of the perfect home. Today we get a look at a stunning structure that will have you reevaluating your entire dream design. The Seachange House is located in Australia’s Barwon Heads. The dwelling aims to bridge the gap between the area’s traditional beach houses and contemporary architecture. This beautiful home is comprised of a series of stacked volumes. Their staggered placement offers an unconventional approach, offering unrivaled views from every direction.

The volumes are clad in timber slats made from sustainable Western Red Cedar. These screens offer a sense of privacy while filtering in natural sunlight and controlling ventilation. The interior has a modern vibe throughout, thanks in part to the white walls and natural wooden hues.

These light features create an airy atmosphere and aesthetic that continues throughout the home. The spacious ground floor opens to a courtyard, providing access to the outdoor living spaces. These spaces are a great spot to take full advantage of the coastal setting, providing incredible views in every direction. This stunning structure is nothing short of remarkable, boasting outstanding attention to detail and exceptional design cues throughout.
