Safe & Spaced | The Paris Le Cinema sur l’Eau

The current world pandemic has forced businesses and companies to get more creative. We’ve seen a number of brands and organizations revamp their processes and deliver products in some unique ways. Today the creative minds in Paris have come up with a creative way to enjoy a night out at the movie theater. The Cinema sur l’Eau is exactly that. The design is a floating cinema that is pulled off thanks to a 16x9m screen.

The screen will be installed on the Seine Riverbank, allowing moviegoers to enjoy Gilles Lellouche’s film “Le Grand Bain.” Guests will watch the film from a fleet of 38 electric boats, while there are options for those land-lovers as well. The Paris Le Cinema sur l’Eau will also have 150 deckchairs placed on the Quai de Seine for good measure. The cinematic experience is slated to take place on July 18, 2020, as part of the Paris Plages 2020. Paris Plages is a Summer festival that takes place along the Parc Rives de Seine and the La Villette canal basin.
